Our Lady of Guadalupe
Tepeyac Hill Apparitions. December 12, 1531

Truly I tell you: I am the Holy Mary, the Immaculate Virgin, Mother of the true God, the Lord and Giver of Life, through whom all things were made, Creator of mankind, He who became man, Lord of all things visible and invisible, Lord of Heaven and Earth. I greatly desire, I earnestly wish, that a sanctuary be built here for me. In this place I intend to reveal all my love. I wish to bring comfort with a compassionate gaze, to offer support and surround with care. For truly, I am your most loving Mother, loving you and all those who dwell in this land, as well as those who live in distant lands—those who love me, seek me, trust in me, and ask for my intercession. Here I will hear their cries; here I will listen to their sorrows. I will bring healing in suffering, help in times of need, and comfort in misfortune.
